  Monday, September 11, 2023 -  The FWC will present draft materials for the Lake Wales Ridge WEA 10-year Management Plan at a public hearing at 7 p.m. on Oct. 11 at the H.L. Bishop Park Clubhouse in Lake Placid.

• FWC patrols and protects Florida’s waterways over Labor Day weekend

  Friday, September 8, 2023 -  Between Sept. 2-4, FWC officers removed nearly 20 unsafe and impaired vessel operators from the waterways of Florida for boating under the influence, cited over 380 and provided education and warnings to over 2,800 boaters for safety violations.

• FWC conducts plant control on Lake Seminole

  Wednesday, September 6, 2023 -  The FWC is conducting aerial aquatic plant management on Lake Seminole throughout the week of Sept. 5, weather permitting.
