  Tuesday, February 4, 2020 -  This online resource is intended to help landowners, permit applicants and environmental consultants make wildlife-friendly decisions during development planning and identify opportunities for conservation of Florida’s unique biodiversity.

• Public meeting to discuss aquatic plant management on Kissimmee Chain of Lakes

• Hunter safety internet-completion courses offered in six counties in February

  Monday, January 27, 2020 -  The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is offering free hunter safety internet-completion courses in six counties in February (list follows). Hunter safety courses are designed to help students become safe, responsible and knowledgeable hunters and learn about conservation.

• 80 pythons submitted during the 2020 Python Bowl!

  Saturday, January 25, 2020 -  Participants in the Florida Python Challenge™ 2020 Python Bowl removed 80 invasive Burmese pythons from the Everglades while simultaneously helping to raise awareness about this important conservation issue. Today the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the South Florida Water Management District announced the results and winners of the Python Removal Competition at the 2020 Python Bowl award ceremony at the Super Bowl Live event in Miami.

• Snook slated to reopen in Atlantic state waters Feb. 1

  Friday, January 17, 2020 -  The FWC and partners including the National Bobwhite Conservation Initiative are hosting a Tri-State Bobwhite Symposium for landowners and land managers in northwest Florida.
