Monday, August 31, 2020 - FWC biologists certified a new state record flathead catfish weighing 69.9 pounds, measuring 48.5 inches long, with a girth of 38.25 inches, caught by Lavon Nowling from Santa Rosa County. -

Friday, August 28, 2020 - The recreational gray triggerfish season reopens to harvest in Gulf state and federal waters Sept. 1 and will remain open through Oct. 25, closing to harvest Oct. 26, 2020.
