Friday, July 7, 2023 - A vessel’s propeller struck a man diving for scallops at the scallop grounds northwest of St. Martins River in the Crystal River/Homosassa area and the vessel left the scene. -

Monday, June 5, 2023 - Between May 27-29, FWC officers removed approximately 100 unsafe and impaired vessel operators across the state of Florida for boating under the influence and responded to over 30 boating accidents. There were zero fatalities reported during this time. -
FWC releases 2022 Boating Accident Statistical Report
Thursday, June 1, 2023 - Florida had 735 boating accidents in 2022, 16 fewer than in 2021. A total of 65 people lost their lives in these accidents, five more than the previous year. -

FWC to meet May 10 and 11 in Miami
Tuesday, April 25, 2023 - The FWC will meet in person May 10-11 at the Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon, 5101 Blue Lagoon Drive, Miami, FL 33126. The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. ET each day and is open to the public.
