• Spiny lobster seasons start soon

  Tuesday, July 27, 2021 -  The two-day recreational mini-season is July 28 and 29, followed by the regular commercial and recreational lobster season, which starts Aug. 6 and runs through March 31, 2022.

• Greater amberjack and gray triggerfish reopen to recreational harvest in Gulf waters Aug. 1

  Friday, July 23, 2021 -  Greater amberjack is scheduled to remain open through Oct. 31 in Gulf state and federal waters. Gray triggerfish is scheduled to remain open through Dec. 31 in Gulf state and federal waters but an early quota closure is possible for either species.
