  Wednesday, May 10, 2023 -  The Protect the Panther License Plate will soon have a new design featuring a stunning photograph taken by photographer Carlton Ward in 2018 of a now famous female and her kitten.

• FWC honors Julie Carta as inaugural Sonya Rood Volunteer of the Year

  Wednesday, May 10, 2023 -  The award recognizes one volunteer who demonstrates superior performance resulting in exemplary achievement for the FWC.

  Thursday, April 27, 2023 -  Although shorebirds and seabirds typically nest directly on beaches along Florida’s coasts, as shoreline use by people increases, there is less nesting space available and birds increasingly use gravel rooftops to nest and raise chicks.
