  Friday, September 4, 2020 -  This includes all state waters from the Suwannee River to the Fenholloway River and includes the towns of Keaton Beach and Steinhatchee.

  Wednesday, September 2, 2020 -  The FWC encourages anglers to use the app whenever they are fishing to stay up to date on fishing regulations as well as help them identify their catch.

  Friday, August 28, 2020 -  The recreational gray triggerfish season reopens to harvest in Gulf state and federal waters Sept. 1 and will remain open through Oct. 25, closing to harvest Oct. 26, 2020.

• Gag grouper fall season opens Sept. 1 in Gulf 4-county region

  Wednesday, August 19, 2020 -  The gag grouper recreational season in Gulf state waters off Franklin, Wakulla, Jefferson and Taylor counties will open for harvest Sept. 1 through Dec. 31.

• Suspects arrested in gill netting case involving the netting of juvenile bottlenose dolphin and multiple fish species

  Wednesday, August 5, 2020 -  FWC officers concluded an investigation in Pinellas County that resulted in the arrest of two suspects, Yunior C. Rosales Morales and Yandie Concepcion, for the unlawful use of a monofilament entanglement net to take several species of fish and a juvenile bottlenose dolphin.

• August blue crab trap closures for east coast of Florida canceled

  Monday, August 3, 2020 -  FWC has canceled the blue crab trap closures previously scheduled for Aug. 10-19 and 20-29, for all waters from Nassau through Palm Beach counties. Recreational and commercial blue crab traps may remain in the water during this period.

• Greater amberjack reopens to recreational harvest in Gulf waters Aug. 1

  Tuesday, July 28, 2020 -  This season is scheduled to remain open through Oct. 31 in Gulf state and federal waters.

• FWC approves draft changes to flounder regulations

  Thursday, July 23, 2020 -  These changes will be brought back to the Commission in October for final consideration.

• FWC approves Atlantic bluefish changes

  Wednesday, July 22, 2020 -  Changes approved include reducing recreational daily bag limit from 10 to three fish per person along the Atlantic coast from Nassau through Miami-Dade counties.

• FWC approves stone crab regulation changes; effective Oct. 1

  Wednesday, July 22, 2020 -  FWC staff worked with stakeholders on these changes that are intended to increase the stone crab population and build resiliency in the fishery.
