Spirit-of-the-Wild Wildlife Management Area
Spirit-of-the-Wild WMA memorializes the FWC employees who have been killed while performing their duties as stewards of Florida's natural heritage. The roads through the area are named in memory of some of these individuals. The wild nature of the area reminds us of the value of working to conserve these natural places and the species that inhabit them.
