Branan Field - Things to Do

A three-mile network of trails provides visitors the opportunity to explore sandhill and flatwoods habitats.
Wildlife Viewing

Wildlife viewing is good year-round. Enjoy hikes along the area trails through restored pine flatwoods where numerous gopher tortoise burrows are easy to spot. A variety of resident and migratory birds are also commonly sighted.
Hiking

Branan Field WEA offers low-effort trails that may be sandy at times. Hikes are most pleasant in the cooler, winter months. Foot traffic only; vehicles and bikes are not permitted on trails at Branan Field.
See the Branan Field WEA Trail Guide for hiking routes.
