Our Freshwater Invertebrate team dedicate their time to understanding Florida’s aquatic invertebrate populations. Crayfish, mussels, snails, and more; they focus on distributions, life history, and habitat requirements of imperiled freshwater invertebrate species as well as the use of invertebrate communities as a tool for evaluating the ecological integrity of stream, lake, and wetland ecosystems.
