William Beardall Tosohatchee WMA Camping
Primitive camping opportunities at Tosohatchee WMA include an equestrian camp, a group camp with three sites, and four hike-in only campsites, two of which are located along the Florida National Scenic Trail. Reservations must be made in advance using the reservation calendars below. Car and RV camping are not available. During hunting periods, camping is allowed only by through hikers and only at the designated through-trail campsites along the Florida Trail.
- In addition to the camping permit, permit holders are required to have a management area permit or a daily use permit for each day camped. See regulations summary brochure for exemptions. During hunting season the campground is available for use by hunters.
- It is the permit holder’s duty to instruct all guests of any nature as to conditions of the camping permit.
- The permit holder must vacate the campground upon expiration of the permit or if permit is revoked for non-compliance with permit conditions.
- Leaving the campsite unattended for more than 5 consecutive days may result in revocation of a permit.
- Upon booking your campground stay, you will receive a confirmation email with the dates of stay and the permit conditions. This confirmation email will serve as your camping permit and needs to be displayed while camping.
- Applying for multiple sites or applying for camp sites for others may result in revocation of the permit. Only adults 18 years of age or older can apply for a permit.
- Check-in time is 1:00 pm. Please check out by 11:00 am.

- Only primitive camping is allowed. No RVs or pull-behind trailers.
- All equipment must be contained within the boundary of the designated sites.
- No person shall bring building materials onto the area or erect permanent or semi-permanent structures.
- Camping is limited to tents. Kitchen stoves, refrigerators, and freezers are prohibited.
- Lumber, sheet metal or other building materials are prohibited.
- Permit holder is responsible for the actions and/or violation of permit provisions of all persons using the site.
- Cutting of vegetation and standing trees (alive or dead) is prohibited.
- Store all food and garbage in a manner that will prevent access by wildlife.
- Pets are allowed but must be kept under physical restraint at all times.
- All campfires are to be extinguished before leaving campsite.
- Camping permit must be displayed in a manner visible to law enforcement and FWC area staff.
- All trash must be properly disposed of in waste receptacles or hauled out of the area. (Leave No Trace)
- Littering and disposing of any waste products such as graywater, petroleum products, toxic materials, batteries, etc. is prohibited.
- Any violation of permit stipulations may result in permit cancellation.
- Campsites left unoccupied during a permitted period are subject to cancellation.
- Vehicles are NOT allowed on roads after dark within the Management Area. You are allowed to travel to and from the main entrance and campground.
