The Chinsegut Conservation Center offers a wide variety of educational programs and hikes throughout the year. Workshop and event information is available on Chinsegut’s Activity Schedule. The Conservation Center Tract parking access off of Lake Lindsey Road is only open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 am to 2 pm and during scheduled programs. However, hiking is permitted on the Conservation Center Tract during all daylight hours if visitors access the trail system from the parking area at the corner of Snow Memorial Highway and U.S. 41.
More than two miles of hiking trail loops on the Big Pine Tract are open daily. Hunting and fishing are prohibited on both the Conservation Center and Big Pine tracts. Visitors will find a profusion of wildflowers and butterflies on Big Pine Tract in the fall and the Conservation Center’s garden hosts numerous butterfly species. April is an excellent time to view resident and migrating songbirds.

- Public access is allowed from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.
- Dogs are permitted but must be kept under physical restraint at all times.
- Restrooms are available at the Conservation Center and at the entrance to the Big Pine Tract.
- No daily-use permit is required. Hunting and fishing are prohibited.
