Troy Springs Wildlife Management Area

Managed in cooperation with Suwannee River Water Management District.
Troy Springs Wildlife Management Area spans more than four miles along the Middle Suwannee River in eastern Lafayette County. Nearly 2,000 acres of floodplain forests are spread across three separate parcels of land. Troy Springs State Park and a county park are located between the tracts, offering additional recreational opportunities. Nearby, Troy Springs flows with more than 65 million gallons of fresh water each day.

Fishing
Fishing is permitted year-round. A Florida fishing license is required and can be purchased at GoOutdoorsFlorida.com.
Camping
Camping is not available at this area.
Recreation
Visitors enjoy hiking, biking, wildlife viewing and horseback riding on the many scenic trails throughout the area.
The Swannee River offers ample fishing, paddling and boating, with two canoe launches and a boat ramp adjacent to the management area.
Wildlife
Species on this area include white-tailed deer, turkeys, eastern cottontail rabbits, gray squirrels, wild hogs, gopher tortoises, neo-tropical migrants and red-shouldered hawks.
