Arbuckle WMA

AMP permit is not valid on this area.

Avon Park AFR

AMP permit is not valid on this area.

Babcock/Webb WMA

During non-hunting periods the AMP is valid in the recreation area only.  Permit is valid throughout the area when hunting is allowed and one week (7 days) prior to the archery hunt for scouting purposes.

Babcock Ranch Preserve

Only persons participating in a hunt are allowed to use the AMP permit.  The ATV may only be operated within the open hunt area and only during times that access to the area is otherwise allowed. 

Chassahowitzka WMA

ATV use is prohibited in areas posted as closed to hunting, west of Main Grade, and on the Annutteliga Hammock property (small game area).

Croom WMA

  1. User must obtain a State Forest Special Use Permit at the Withlacoochee Forestry Center Recreation Office (352-797-4140) after obtaining the FWC AMP permit.  Both permits must be kept on their person at all times.
  2. ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as closed to hunting.
  3. A copy of the AMP shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
  4. Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
  5. ATV use is prohibited in campground areas.  ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP on the dash are permitted in campground areas.
  6. AMPs do not permit ATV operation in the Croom Motorcycle Area.
  7. Permit valid only during periods when hunting with archery equipment or guns is allowed.

Everglades Headwaters – Hatchineha Unit WMA

AMP permit is not valid on this area.

Green Swamp WMA

  1. A florescent orange flag shall be attached to the ATV on an eight-foot mast.
  2. ATVs must have an operable headlight, brake light and taillight if used during dawn and dusk hours.
  3. Permittee shall specify upon entry through the check station what area(s) of the Wildlife Management Area the permittee intends to access with the ATV.
  4. A copy of the AMP shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
  5. ATVs shall only be operated on existing roads and firelanes, which are not currently named or numbered on the WMA hunt brochure map.  Cross-country travel is prohibited.
  6. ATVs are prohibited in streams, rivers, areas posted as closed to hunting, restoration areas or other areas restricted due to land management activities.  ATVs shall not be operated within nor parked on any road, trail or firelane adjacent to an active prescribed burn unit.  Restricted areas will be posted at the check station.
  7. ATV use is prohibited in campground areas and on Bull Barn Bridge (also known as Devil’s Creek Bridge).  ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP on the dash are permitted in campground areas when campground equipment is permitted.
  8. Permits will only be valid during periods when the Wildlife Management Area is open for hunting.  Permittees may take an ATV into the area when hunting with archery equipment or guns is allowed, or when camping equipment is allowed.
  9. ATVs may be operated on bicycle trails located south of the Withlacoochee River with access from Strand Hammock Road and the Trial Ford Bridge.

Green Swamp West Unit WMA

Hilochee WMA

  1. ATV use is prohibited in areas posted as closed to hunting and restoration areas and the citrus groves.
  2. Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for hunting or scouting. 

KICCO WMA

  1. The entrance gate is locked at all times and a combination is necessary to access the property with a motor vehicle. To receive a Special Use License for overnight camping or day time vehicle access please visit our website at www.sfwmd.gov/sul. For information call 800-432-2045 ext. 3333.
  2. An AMP permittee must inform the South Florida Water Management District at 800-250-4200 ext 3333, prior to utilizing the AMP permit on the property. Office personnel will request the date, time and location the access will be occurring.
  3. ATVs may be operated on trails designed as “AMP Permit Trails” or “SUV Permit Roads.”
  4. Permittee should use designated pathways to the maximum extent possible. Cross-country travel is prohibited except an ATV may be used on the most direct route from a designated pathway for access to a tree stand/hunting location and for the retrieval of harvested wildlife.
  5. All gates shall be left in the position encountered by permittee.
  6. ATVs cannot be ridden in areas posted as closed to hunting.
  7. Permit valid only during quota hunts and five days before and one day after each quota hunt. During the quota hunts, an AMP permittee must have a valid quota permit. The permit is not valid during small game season.

Kissimmee River PUA

AMP permit is not valid on this area.

Lake Marion Creek WMA

AMP permit is not valid on this area.

Lower Hillsborough WMA

AMP permit is not valid on this area.

Myakka State Forest SGA

  1. ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as closed to hunting.
  2. A copy of the AMP shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
  3. Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
  4. ATV use is prohibited in campground areas.  ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP on the dash are permitted in campground areas.
  5. ATVs are not permitted on private properties; and ATVs will be allowed on named and numbered roads for access from the parking area.
  6. Permit valid only during periods open for hunting.

Orange Hammock WMA

AMP permit is not valid on this area.

Osprey Unit of Hilochee WMA

Permits will only be valid during periods when hunting with archery equipment or guns is allowed, and one day prior to each hunt for scouting.

Royce Unit of Lake Wales Ridge WEA

  1. ATV use is prohibited in areas posted as closed to hunting, citrus groves and east of Royce Ranch Avenue.
  2. ATV use is prohibited in the posted dove fields unless in possession of a dove permit.
  3. ATVs shall only be operated on existing roads and firelanes, which are not currently named or numbered on the WMA hunt brochure map.  Cross-country travel is prohibited.

Upper Hillsborough WMA

Lock combination:  1983. (Only needed when the gate at the check station is closed.  Please lock the gate after you enter.)

  2. ATVs must have an operable headlight, brake light and taillight if used during dawn and dusk hours.
  3. Permittee shall specify upon entry through the check station what area(s) of the Wildlife Management Area the permittee intends to access with the ATV.

  5. ATVs shall only be operated on existing roads and firelanes, which are not currently named or numbered on the WMA hunt brochure map.  Cross-county travel is prohibited.
  6. ATVs are prohibited in wetlands, streams, rivers, areas posted as closed to hunting, restoration areas or other areas restricted for land management activities.  ATVs shall not be operated within nor parked on any road, trail or firelane adjacent to an active prescribed burn unit.  Restricted areas will be posted at the check station.
  7. ATV use is prohibited in campground areas.  ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP on the dash are permitted in campground areas when campground equipment is permitted.
  8. Permit valid only during seasons when hunting with archery equipment or guns is allowed and after 8 a.m.one day prior to each hunt except small game and wild hog-dog.

Walk-in-the-Water WMA

AMP permit is not valid on this area.

Weekiwachee WMA

AMP permit is not valid on this area.

Yucca Pens Unit of Babcock/Webb WMA

ATVs shall only be operated on existing roads and firelanes, which are not currently named or numbered on the WMA hunt brochure map.  Cross-country travel is prohibited.
