Baird Unit of Richloam WMA
- User must obtain a State Forest Special Use Permit at the Withlacoochee Forestry Center Recreation Office (352-797-4140) after obtaining the FWC AMP permit. Both permits must be kept on the permittee at all times.
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
- ATV use is prohibited in campground areas. ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP permit on the dash are allowed in campground areas.
- Permit valid only during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed and one day prior to each season except small game.
Buck Lake WMA
- A photocopy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dash of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee must utilize existing firelines and trails unless tracking and / or retrieving wounded game.
- ATVs are not permitted in or around active timber harvesting operations.
- Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for scouting and when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.
- For those qualified as AMP, contact St. Johns River Water Management District for a Special Use Authorization to access the area after the hunting season: (386) 329-4404.
Bull Creek WMA
Permit valid only from 8 a.m. 7 days prior to the opening of each season, during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed and until 6 p.m. 7 days after the end of the season.
Caravelle Ranch WMA
Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for scouting and when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.
Charles H. Bronson WMA
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
- ATV use is prohibited in campground areas. ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP permit on the dash are allowed in campground areas.
- Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for scouting and when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.
Dexter / Mary Farms Unit of Lake George WMA
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
- ATV use is prohibited in campground areas. ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP permit on the dash are allowed in campground areas.
- No ATV use in active timber harvest areas.
- No ATV use in active prescribed burn units.
- Permit valid only during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed and one day prior to each hunt.
Dunns Creek WMA
- A photocopy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dash of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee must utilize existing firelines and trails unless tracking and / or retrieving wounded game.
- ATVs are not permitted in or around active timber harvesting operations.
- Permit valid only during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.

Emeralda Marsh SGA
- Permit is valid for upland/levee travel only.
- A photocopy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dash of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- ATVs are not permitted in or around active timber harvesting operations.
- Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for scouting and when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.
- For those qualified as AMP, contact SJRWMD for a Special-Use Authorization to access the Area after the hunting season: (386) 329-4404.
Etoniah Creek WMA
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
- ATV use is prohibited in campground areas. ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP permit on the dash are permitted in campground areas.
- ATVs are prohibited on the designated fireline off of South Cablegate Road, the Florida Trail, and other designated hiking trails (map included with permit).
- Permit valid only during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed and one week prior to the start of each season to allow for scouting.
Fellsmere Area 1 SGA
AMP permit is not valid on this area.
Fort Drum WMA
- A photocopy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dash of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee must utilize existing firelines and trails unless tracking and / or retrieving wounded game.
- ATVs are not permitted in or around active timber harvesting operations.
- Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for scouting and when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed

Gores Landing Unit of Ocklawaha River WMA
No additional stipulations.
Guana River WMA
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee must use existing firelanes and trails.
- Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for scouting and when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.
Half Moon WMA
Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for scouting and when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.
Jumper Creek WMA
- User must obtain a State Forest Special Use Permit at the Withlacoochee Forestry Center Recreation Office (352-797-4140) after obtaining the FWC AMP permit. Both permits must be kept on the permittee at all times.
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”

Kissimmee Chain of Lakes Area
AMP permit is not valid on this area.
Lake George WMA
- A photocopy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dash of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- In order to access the Florida Forest Service portion of the WMA with an ATV, users must obtain a State Forest Special Use Permit at the Lake George Forest Office (386-384-5781) after obtaining the FWC-issued AMP permit. Both permits must be kept on their person at all times.
- Permittee must utilize existing dim roads, trails, or firelanes to the maximum extent possible prior to cross-country travel.
- ATVs are not permitted in or around active timber harvesting operations
- No ATV use in active prescribed burn units
- ATVs are permitted on named and numbered roads for access from perimeter parking areas.
- Permit valid only during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed and one day prior to each hunt.
Lake Monroe WMA
AMP permit is not valid on this area.
Lake Panasoffkee WMA
- A fluorescent orange flag shall be attached to the ATV on an eight-foot mast.
- ATV must have operable headlights, brake lights and taillights if used during dawn and dusk hours.
- Permittee shall specify upon entry through the check station what area(s) of the WMA the permittee intends to access with the ATV.
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- ATVs shall only be operated on existing roads and firelanes, which are not currently named or numbered on the WMA hunt brochure map. Cross-county travel is prohibited.
- ATVs are prohibited in wetlands, streams, rivers, areas posted as “Closed to Hunting”, restoration areas or other areas restricted for land management activities. ATVs shall not be operated within nor parked on any road, trail or firelane adjacent to an active prescribed burn unit. Restricted areas will be posted at the check station.
- ATV use is prohibited in campground areas. ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP permit on the dash are allowed in campground areas when campground equipment is allowed.
- Permits will only be valid during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed on the WMA and one day prior to each hunt from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., except prior to small game hunts.
Lake Tracy Unit of Seminole Forest WMA
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
- Permit valid only when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed and beginning the Monday prior to archery, muzzleloading gun, general gun, wild hog-still or spring turkey hunts through one day after the last day of the hunt. A State Forest Special Use Permit is required from the Florida Forest Service (352-360-6675) for vehicle access on days when hunting is not allowed.
Little Big Econ WMA
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
- ATV use is prohibited in campground areas. ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP permit on the dash are permitted in campground areas.
- Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for scouting and when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.
Marshall Swamp WMA
AMP permit is not valid on this area.
Matanzas WMA
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
- ATV use is prohibited in campground areas. ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP permit on the dash are allowed in campground areas.
- No ATV use in active timber harvest areas.
- No ATV use in active prescribed burn units.
- Permit valid only during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed and one day prior to each season.
Ocala WMA
AMP permit is not valid on this area per U.S. Forest Service policy.
Ocklawaha Prairie SGA
AMP permit is not valid on this area.
Orange Creek SGA
- Permit is valid for upland / levee travel only.
- A photocopy of the AMP shall be displayed on the dash of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- ATVs are not allowed in or around active timber harvesting operations.
- Permit valid only during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.

Prairie Lakes Unit of Three Lakes WMA
ATVs are prohibited in areas denoted as “Closed to Vehicles” on the brochure map. Vehicles may be operated on all roads except those that are designated as closed by gate or cable.
Richloam WMA
- User must obtain a State Forest Special Use Permit at the Withlacoochee Forestry Center Recreation Office (352-797-4140) after obtaining the FWC AMP permit. Both permits must be kept on the permittee at all times.
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”

Rima Ridge Unit of Tiger Bay WMA
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”

- Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
- ATV use is prohibited in campground areas. ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP permit on the dash are allowed in campground areas.
- ATV use is prohibited in active timber harvest areas.
- ATV use is prohibited in active prescribed burn units.
- Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for scouting and when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.
Rock Springs Run WMA
- ATVs may be operated only on named or numbered roads, firelines and service roads.
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for scouting and when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.
Ross Prairie WMA
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
- Permit valid only during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.
- Users must obtain a State Forest Special Use permit at the Ocala Forestry Station, 6675 NE 40th Avenue Road, Silver Springs, FL 34479 (352-732-1785 or 352-732-1783) after obtaining the FWC AMP permit. Both permits must be kept on their person at all times. Authorized vehicles are allowed access only through the gate located at SW 150th Street and SW 110th Avenue. Access gate shall remain closed at all times. Special notices will be posted at the access point. Permit valid only during archery and spring turkey seasons and one day prior to each of these seasons for holders of a valid quota permit. Violation may result in revocation of both permits.
Salt Lake WMA
Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for scouting and when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.
Seminole Forest WMA
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
- Permit valid only during periods when hunting equipment is allowed on the area. A State Forest Special Use Permit is required from the Florida Forest Service (352-360-6675) for vehicle access on days when hunting is not allowed.
Seminole Ranch WMA
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee must use existing firelines and trails unless tracking and / or retrieving wounded game.
- ATVs are not allowed in or around active timber harvesting operations.
- Permit valid only during periods when vehicles are allowed for scouting and when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed. For questions about accessing the area please contact FWC at (407) 568-5893.
Silver Springs Forest SGA
- Permit valid only during periods when hunting is allowed.
- Permittee must utilize existing roads unless tracking and/or retrieving wounded game.
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- For those qualified as AMP, contact SJRWMD for a Special-Use Authorization to access the area outside of the hunting season: (386) 329-4404.
Three Lakes WMA
ATVs are prohibited in areas denoted as “Closed to Vehicles” on the brochure map. Vehicles may be operated on all roads except those that are designated as closed by gate or cable.
Tiger Bay WMA
- ATVs are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- A copy of the AMP permit shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle used to transport the ATV.
- Permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
- ATV use is prohibited in campground areas, but ATVs transported by a vehicle displaying an AMP permit on the dash are allowed in campground areas.
- ATV use is prohibited in active timber harvest areas.
- ATV use is prohibited in active prescribed burn units.
- Permit valid only during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed and one day prior to each season.
Tosohatchee WMA
- Service roads are gated and locked; contact the FWC area biologist at 407-568-5893 at least one week in advance to coordinate opening of needed service roads.
- The AMP permit is valid only during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed.
- All-terrain vehicles are prohibited in areas posted as “Closed to Hunting.”
- The permittee should use established pathways to the maximum extent possible.
Triple N Ranch WMA
Permit valid only during periods when hunting with archery and gun equipment is allowed. All-terrain vehicles are prohibited in areas denoted as “Closed to Public Access.” Vehicles may be operated on all roads except those that are designated as “closed” by gate or cable.
Upper St. Johns River Marsh WMA
- Permit valid only in the Moccasin Island walk-in area and only within the area denoted on the Upper St. Johns AMP map as “Alternative Mobility Permit Area.” The gate to Moccasin Island is open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
- Permit is valid for upland/levee travel only.

- Permittee must use existing firelines and trails unless tracking and / or retrieving wounded game.
