Dinner Island Ranch Wildlife Management Area Management Plan Update – 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 8th, 2026, at the UF/IFAS Extension Hendry County located at 1085 Pratt Blvd. LaBelle, FL 33935. The purpose of this meeting is to receive public comment regarding considerations for the FWC ten-year Land Management Plan for the Dinner Island Ranch Wildlife Management Area (DIRWMA). This hearing is being held EXCLUSIVELY for discussion of the DIRWMA Management Plan, which outlines environmental and recreation management on the area. This Management Plan will not address hunting or fishing regulations, which are handled through a separate rule and regulation development process.
Platt Branch Wildlife and Environmental Area Management Plan Update – 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the Town of Lake Placid - Community Room located at 1069 US Highway N., Lake Placid, FL 33852. The purpose of this meeting is to receive public comment regarding considerations for the FWC ten-year Land Management Plan for the Platt Branch Wildlife and Environmental Area (PBWEA). This hearing is being held EXCLUSIVELY for discussion of the PBWEA Management Plan, which outlines environmental and recreation management on the area. This Management Plan will not address hunting or fishing regulations, which are handled through a separate rule and regulation development process.
Split Oak Forest Wildlife and Environmental Area Management Plan Update – 6:00 P.M. Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the UF/IFAS Extension Osceola County located at 1921 Kissimmee Valley Ln., Kissimmee, FL 34744. The purpose of this meeting is to receive public comment regarding considerations for the FWC ten-year Land Management Plan for the Split Oak Forest Wildlife and Environmental Area (SOFWEA). This hearing is being held EXCLUSIVELY for discussion of the SOFWEA Management Plan, which outlines environmental and recreation management on the area. This Management Plan will not address hunting or fishing regulations, which are handled through a separate rule and regulation development process.
