Land Management Plans in Development
The content of FWC Land Management Plans is guided by Chapter 253 and Chapter 259 of Florida Statutes and Chapter 18-2 of Florida Administrative Code. The scope of an FWC Land Management Plan covers the management of fish, wildlife, and their associated habitats; recreational opportunities on the area; and management of cultural resources found on the area. Land Management Plans do not cover fishing, boating, or hunting rules and regulations. Listed below are the FWC-managed conservation areas for which Management Plans are currently being developed or updated:
- Big Bend WMA
- Chassahowitzka WMA
- Chinsegut WEA
- Escribano point WMA
- Everglades Complex of WMAs
- Joe Budd WMA
- John C. and Mariana Jones/Hungryland WEA
- Okaloacoochee Slough WMA
