Sea Turtle Decals
You can help protect Florida's endangered and threatened marine turtles by making a donation to the FWC Marine Turtle Program, which will help fund critical research and conservation efforts. With each donation of $5 or more, you will receive your choice of one of the waterproof decals featured. Current year marine turtle decals are available at Florida County Tax Offices.
FWC has a limited supply of some of the earlier decals. If you are interested in collecting them, please indicate the desired decals by checking the appropriate area on the order form and sending a check for the number of decals selected. The decals will be sent to you within 4-6 weeks.
2026-2027 Decal: "Protect Their Path"

This year’s sea turtle decal highlights Florida's record-breaking year for leatherback sea turtle nesting, with 2,012 nests documented in 2025. Leatherbacks are endangered, and their threats include being caught in fishing gear and marine debris and being struck by vessels in coastal areas. By giving sea turtles plenty of space as they come ashore to nest (at least 50 feet), we can "Protect Their Path".
Additionally, you can help protect nesting sea turtles and hatchlings by:
- Taking all beach gear home with you at the end of the day (sea turtles can become entrapped in beach chairs and other items left on the beach).
- Turning off exterior lights and closing curtains at night (to prevent hatchling disorientations).
- Watching for sea turtles and other marine life while boating (to prevent boat strikes).
If you observe an injured, sick, entangled, distressed, or deceased sea turtle, or illegal activity, please call FWC's 24-hr Wildlife Alert Hotline at 888-404-FWCC (3922).
Thank you for helping protect sea turtles!
