Effects of biotoxins on fish and wildlife populations
Current Activity
I am currently involved in routine HAB biotoxin monitoring of shellfish and other aquatic organisms. I work closely with many FWC biologists, other state agencies, and commercial fisherman during an algal bloom to test toxin levels in shellfish that can cause a variety of shellfish poisonings such as, Neurotoxic Shellfish Poisoning (NSP) and Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning (PSP), to name a few.
