Education
B.S. Biology, Truman State University (Kirksville, Missouri)

My time is split between working in the molecular ecology laboratory, the field, and the microscopy laboratory. The majority of my work focuses on Karenia brevis and new technologies that are being developed to detect and quantify the organism, including field-based genetic detection (via Nucleic Acid Sequence Based Amplification) and field-based microscopic detection (HABscope).
