Aquatic animal health; communicable diseases of marine organisms; epizootics and aquatic animal mortality events; microbiology; prophages in bacterial pathogens.
Current Activity
Theresa leads the aquatic animal health side of the Fish and Wildlife Health group. Her top current projects involve examining the organotropism of brevetoxin, the suite of neurotoxins produced by the Florida red tide organism, Karenia brevis, in teleost fish; examining changes in the lipidome in Gag grouper correlated with reproductive phases; and participation in the multi-disciplinary group investigating the cause of the spinning fish behavior in the Florida Keys.
