Research Interests
Aquatic animal health; communicable diseases of marine organisms; epizootics and aquatic animal mortality events; parasitology including morphology, taxonomy, biodiversity, life history, and host interactions.  

Current Activity
Active collaborations describing new species of parasitic helminths and Microsporidia; teratological study of whiptail rays in Florida; use of gravimetrically determined tissue lipid concentration to elucidate energy allocation dynamics in gag grouper and red snapper; member of a multidisciplinary team investigating the cause of a large-scale, aquatic animal health event in the Florida Keys involving abnormal swimming behaviors and mortalities of fish.
