Apalachicola WMA - Bradwell Unit

Apalachicola Bradwell unit

This small unit of Apalachicola WMA is located in Liberty County and is bordered by the Ochlockonee River to the east and south and Highway 20 to the north. The area is part of the Apalachicola National Forest and consists mainly of bottomland hardwoods, swamps, drains and uplands pine.

Fishing

Fishing is permitted year-round. A Florida fishing license is required and can be purchased at GoOutdoorsFlorida.com.

Recreation

Hiking and horseback riding are permitted. Biking is allowed only on Forest Road 194. The Ochlockonee River is popular with paddlers and anglers. Pittman Creek, Forest Road 194 and a network of foot trails traverse the area.

Camping is prohibited on this area.

Wildlife

Wildlife that can be seen include white-tailed deer, turkey, osprey and wood ducks.
