The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) invites the public to provide input on the development of a management plan for Harris Chain of Lake’s fish, wildlife and habitat. This plan will guide the FWC’s management on the Harris Chain. Public participation is essential to the responsible management of Florida’s natural resources.

The FWC will hold a public meeting on March 10 to discuss this management plan. The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Tavares Civic Center, 110 E Caroline Street, Tavares, FL 32778.

This meeting will provide a brief update on current lake conditions, proposed spring hydrilla treatments, and introduce the process and timeline for the management plan. The public is encouraged to attend and will be provided ample opportunity for questions and feedback.
