Bird Trap Registration

Rule 68A-16.006, F.A.C., prohibits the use, placement, and possession of bird traps without a permit, unless otherwise exempted in the rule. Individuals wishing to lawfully possess bird traps indoors for educational or exhibition purposes must register their bird traps using the form below. Please note the following:

1. This registration does not authorize any other use or placement of bird traps beyond possession for educational or exhibition purposes.
2. All registered bird traps must be clearly labeled with the registration number and the name, address, and phone number of the registrant.
3. The registration is non-transferable.
4. The authorization can be suspended or revoked for just cause, pursuant to Rule 68-1.010, F.A.C.

Once the form below is submitted, your registration form and number will be emailed to you from BirdTrapPermits@myfwc.com.  Copies of the registration should be maintained with each bird trap.
