Current Permittees
This page contains information and application links for current permittees to assist in renewing your permit(s).
We primarily send out requests for additional information and other correspondence via email. Please add CWApps@myFWC.com and NoReply@GoOutdoorsFlorida.com to your contacts.
Beginning March 28, 2023, all new and renewal applicants are required to create an account or log in to an existing account in Go Outdoors Florida (GOF) to apply for a permit.
Applying to Renew a Permit
The GOF system will recognize that an application is a renewal if it is within 60 days of your current permit expiring. Any applications submitted earlier than 60 days before your current permit expires will not trigger the renewal workflow. Any applications submitted after your current permit expires will not trigger the renewal workflow.
When you are within the 60-day renewal window, do the following to apply to renew your permit:
- Navigate to Go Outdoors Florida.
- Click the Captive Wildlife tile and "Visit Site".
- Log in to your existing Go Outdoors Florida account (check that you are logged in under the Customer ID associated with your current permit that you are trying to renew).
- Once logged in, click “Apply for a Permit” to access the applications.
- From the "Available Applications" section, add the application for the permit type you wish to renew to your shopping cart by clicking "Apply for Permit".
- Click on your shopping cart and click "Checkout".
- After clicking Checkout, you will be prompted to complete the application. Choose the facility address from the dropdown for the permit you wish to renew.
- After you choose your facility address, if you are within the 60-day renewal window, most of the application fields will populate with the information submitted on last year's application.
- Review all the populated information for accuracy, complete the rest of required fields, and click "Submit".
You will be redirected to your Home page and receive an email confirmation from the system verifying that your application has been submitted to the FWC Captive Wildlife Office for processing. You will not be charged for the application. Upon application approval, you will be prompted to claim your permit to make it active and you will provide payment for your permit at that time.
