Seatrout Symposium 2025

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) hosted the Seatrout Symposium in August 2025. This one-day event brought together stakeholders, scientists, and fisheries managers to discuss the spotted seatrout fishery and management in Florida. Presentations covered spotted seatrout biology, results from the 2024 seatrout stock assessment and 2025 angler satisfaction survey, the importance of habitat, and the evolution of seatrout management over time.
