Seasons:
- Inside waters of Nassau, Duval, St. Johns, Putnam, Flagler, and Clay counties: Closed April 1 – May 31 to food shrimp and live bait shrimp producers
- During the open season, food shrimp producers may not harvest on Saturdays, Sundays, or legal state holidays (except for the Friday after Thanksgiving) and may only harvest during daylight hours)
- Florida East Coast Shrimp Bed (Nassau through St. Lucie counties): Closed April 1 – May 31 to food shrimp producers only
- Closed season does not apply to a portion of state waters east a line extending from 30°26.658’N, 81°20.950’W to 30°21.469’N, 81°20.325 (a.k.a. shrimp bubble)
Year-round closed area:
Any tributary of the following water bodies: St. Mary’s River, Bells River, Jolly River, Amelia River, Jackson Creek, Nassau River, Back River, South Amelia River, Lanceford Creek, North Fork of Alligator Creek, and Tiger Creek and Tiger Basin east of 81°30.133’ West Longitude.
Allowable gear for state waters:
Live Bait Shrimp Producers:
- All nearshore and inshore waters of Nassau, Duval, St. Johns, and Flagler counties:
- 1 roller frame trawl or 1 otter trawl
- All inside waters of Volusia County
- Wing nets with perimeter up to 26 ft
- Landing or dip nets
- Cast nets
- All other state waters in the region:
- 2 roller frame trawls or 1 otter trawl
Food Shrimp Producers
For all state waters in the region not specified below, food shrimp producers may use up to two trawls.
- Nearshore and inshore waters of the region:
- 2 unconnected roller frame trawls or 2 unconnected otter trawls
- 1 try net (counts as 1 of the 2 otter trawls)
- All inside waters of Volusia County
- Closed to food shrimp producers

Allowable gear for state waters:
Live Bait Shrimp Producers:
For all state waters in the region, live bait shrimp producers may use up to 2 unconnected roller frame trawls.
Food Shrimp Producers:
For all state waters in the region not specified below, food shrimp producers may use up to two trawls.
- Nearshore and inshore waters of the region:
- 2 unconnected wing nets (opening perimeter 28 ft)
- 1 frame net (opening perimeter 28 ft)
Season:
- Miami-Dade County: closed June 1 – Oct. 31
- Closed to food shrimp producers only
- During the open season, harvest is prohibited between 6:00 a.m. on Saturday through 6:00 a.m. on Sunday each week
Trawling Restrictions:
- All Gulf of Mexico waters east of a line extending generally from Boca Chica Key northerly to Vanderbilt Beach in Collier County: closed Oct. 1 – May 31
- Trawling closed to both live bait shrimp and food shrimp producers

- Sheepshead Bayou within St. Vincent Island
- Big Bayou within and adjacent to St. Vincent Island
- Indian Lagoon and St. Vincent Sound
- Portion of coastal Wakulla County west of St. Marks Lighthouse
- All waters of Five Mile Bayou west of SR 85 bridge (Okaloosa County)
- Closed to food shrimp producers only
- All waters of Chula Vista Bayou, Don’s Bayou, Little Bayou, and Garnier Bayou north of SR 85 bridge (Okaloosa County)
- Closed to food shrimp producers only
- The portion of Santa Rosa Sound in Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties west of the Brooks Bridge (US Hwy 98) in Okaloosa County and east of the Bob Sikes Bridge (CR 399) in Santa Rosa and Escambia counties
