Are you planning a trip or looking for a new place to fish? Find your destination using the resources below whether you are are looking to fish from shore, a dock or pier, or hit the water on your vessel. We have what you need for your next freshwater, or saltwater, adventure.

Florida's 11 million acres of freshwater with more than 7,800 freshwater lakes, over 1,700 rivers, and 700 springs bordered by 8,426 miles of tidal shoreline that outlines numerous estuaries and tens of thousands of square miles of offshore waters is home to your next best fishing spot! Lets find out where it is!

A Fish Management Area (FMA) is a pond, lake or other body of water established for the management of freshwater fish as a partnership effort with a local cooperator. The FWC manages about 80 water bodies throughout the state including most community-based fishing lakes. In many cases, these lakes are stocked with channel catfish, largemouth bass or sunshine bass.

Before venturing to an unknown destination far from home, it is a good idea to check with local authorities about the status of a WMA, boat ramp, or pier as it could be temporarily closed due to special events, weather conditions or needed repairs.

Note: In Florida, there are a wide range of places to fish and we could not possibly list them all. Fish move and behave differently based on various factors such as weather, temperature, tide, moon phase, salinity, time of year and more. In addition to using the resources on this page, we encourage anglers to contact people with local expertise in areas they want to fish (such as bait and tackle shops, marinas, charter fishing businesses, fishing clubs and online fishing groups).
