Rookery Islands CWA

This small mangrove island is located within the Rookery Bay Estuarine Research Reserve. Hundreds of birds fly in to roost on the island every evening. The small mangrove island and surrounding waters are closed to public access.

Financial support for Rookery Bay Islands Critical Wildlife Area in-water markers was provided by the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida, Inc. through the Conserve Wildlife Tag grant program.
