Little Estero Island CWA

Focal Species: Least tern, snowy plover, Wilson’s plover.
This CWA includes portions of the beach and dune system on Fort Myers Beach. Renowned ornithologist, Roger Tory Peterson, visited this site a few years before the CWA was established and declared it possibly the best place in the world to photograph shorebirds.
