Focal Species: Royal terns, black skimmers, laughing gulls, gull-billed terns, sandwich terns, brown pelicans and American oystercatchers
Fort George Inlet CWA occurs within Huguenot Memorial Park and has supports one of the largest nesting colonies of royal terns, laughing gulls and brown pelicans in the state. The dunes are posted closed during the nesting season but baby birds are often found running across the beach. Park staff may therefore post areas outside of the CWA boundary.
