Focal Species: Wood storks, roseate spoonbill, tri-colored herons, black-crowned night herons, great blue herons, and anhingas.

Dot Dash Dit CWA includes three mangrove islands. It is located at the mouth of the Braden River, and supports Tampa Bay’s only coastal colony of wood storks, a federally-listed species. Roseate spoonbills also nest here, along with great egrets, great blue herons, and other coastal birds.

Financial support for Dot Dash Dit Critical Wildlife Area in-water markers was provided by the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida, Inc. through the Conserve Wildlife Tag grant program.
