Commissioner Gary Nicklaus
Gary Nicklaus began his service to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in December 2017. He was then appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis on August 2, 2022, for a term ending August 1, 2027.
Commissioner Nicklaus is a Managing Partner of Nicklaus Brown & Company where he leads a team that co-invests with management in technology and financial services companies. He is also the Vice Chair of Certuity Holdings, and Director of Ad Genius, Goods & Services, and Nearshore Technology Company.
Nicklaus is also Co-Chairman of the Children’s Healthcare Charity, Inc., a non-profit organization that manages the operations of the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic and is the primary beneficiary of the tournament. The tournament is a top event on the PGA Tour and has been voted the premier sporting event in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Nicklaus received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from The Ohio State University where he was an All-American golfer. He played golf professionally on the PGA Tour and European Tour and has designed golf courses throughout the United States, Mexico, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
