The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) invites all interested stakeholders to the 2025 Seatrout Symposium. This one-day event will bring together stakeholders, scientists, and fisheries managers for an in-depth look at the spotted seatrout fishery in Florida. This symposium marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the management of spotted seatrout. Building on the success of FWC’s holistic management strategies for redfish and snook, the FWC is now exploring a similar approach for spotted seatrout: using multiple metrics to manage on a smaller, regional scale. Join the conversation shaping the future of this popular recreational and commercial fishery in Florida.
