High School Fishing Conservation Projects

FWC's High School Fishing Program partners with organizations in the fishing industry to support our conservation project, focusing reducing single-use plastics.

The conservation projects awards points per club participation in a pre-determined list of activities. The clubs compete in a three-tier prizing structure with a Grand Prize, Second Place Prize and Third Place Prize.

The prizes will be awarded by our partners, and the specific rewards are announced throughout the school year—but you don’t want to miss out on these great prizes!

The Peniel Academy Bassmaster Anglers for Christ conducted a riverfront clean-up before and after the arrival of the Bassmaster Elite Series. They coordinated their efforts with Keep Putnam Beautiful, who supplies trash grabbers, buckets, trash bags, and re-usable water bottles for the clean-up. They collect four garbage bags of trash containing: cigarettes, cans, bottles, fishing line, and old discarded fishing equipment.
