Florida's State Wildlife Grants are awarded to eligible grant recipients on a competitive basis, typically once per fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).  A new grant cycle will open in the fall of 2008.

Application and Submission Instructions

Applicants should obtain a copy of Florida's State Wildlife Grants Program Guidelines (pdf247kb) for application instructions.

Grant criteria and additional application and submission instructions are located in the annual Notice for Grant Cycle, which will be posted here when the cycle opens.

Applications must include each of the following sections arranged in this order (See Florida's State Wildlife Grants Program Guidelines for detailed explanations of each):

  • Application Cover
  • Scope of Work
    • Biographical Sketches
    • Budget Narrative
    • Appendices (as needed), i.e. high resolution or color images, charts, tables, etc.
  • Budget Sheet (For FWC employees/ For non-FWC employees)

Submission deadlines

Submit applications electronically via three files- 1) Application cover, 2) Scope of Work, and 3) Budget Sheet.  Additionally, five (5) paper copies of each application are required to be mailed to the Grant Coordinator for each submission.  All application materials must be received prior to the final submittal deadline.
