About the photos on our home page

The photos currently gracing our home page were taken by FWC employees and entered in a contest as a fund-raiser for the 2007 Florida State Employees Charitable Campaign.

Employees (and their families) submitted 280 photos in six categories. The home page photos are the first-place winners in the "Florida's Native Wildlife," "Florida's Native Habitats," "Think FWC" and "People's Choice" categories. You should see a different photo (five in all) every time you click "Refresh" on the home page.

This page features the top three finishers and honorable mentions in each category. Click on any image to see a larger, high-resolution version.  All photos are property of the photographers and used with their permission.

The contest raised over $700 for the Campaign. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all who entered.
