Hunter safety course offered in Niceville

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
(FWC) is offering a free hunter safety course in Niceville.
The course will be at Jackson Guard Station on S.R. 85
in Niceville. Instruction will take place from 6-9 p.m., March 10,
11, 12 and 13. The firing-range section of the course is
scheduled for Saturday, March 15.
Individuals who have taken the Internet course and wish
to complete the classroom portion must bring the online completion
report and attend only the March 10 class from 6-10 p.m. and the range
day on March 15.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all
times. Students are encouraged to bring a pencil and paper with
them to take notes.
The hunter safety course is required for anyone born on
or after June 1, 1975, to purchase a hunting license. The FWC
course satisfies hunter safety training requirements for all other
states and Canadian provinces.
