Man dies in personal watercraft

A 49-year-old man from Minneapolis died Sunday
afternoon when his personal watercraft struck a low-lying branch
from the shoreline. He and his passenger were with a tour group
from The Reach Resort in Key West.
The accident occurred at about 2 p.m. Sunday,
April 22 off Boca Chica Key.
Despite rescue efforts, the operator was
pronounced dead on the scene. His passenger appeared to have
suffered no injuries.
