Free duck hunting workshop in Palm Bay October 24, 2007 Are you thinking this is the year to try duck hunting in Florida but don’t know where to begin? For everything you ever wanted to know about hunting ducks in Florida, simply attend the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s free duck hunting workshop in Brevard County on Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The one-day class will cover duck identification, boats and blinds, decoys and calling, guns and ammo, clothing and camo, retriever training and handling, rules and regulations, hunting ethics and everything in between. It’s also a great chance to prepare children for the special Youth Waterfowl Days Feb. 2-3, when children age 16 and younger are allowed to hunt while accompanied by non-hunting adults.
For more information or to sign up for the free workshop, call Ron Bielefeld at (772) 228-9125 or Jeff Kraynik at (321) 725-3456. For more information on waterfowl hunting, including seasons, bag limits and license requirements, go to MyFWC.com/duck/Duck_Hunting/duck-hunting.htm. |
