Identification:
Two plover species nest on Florida beaches; the Snowy Plover and the Wilson's Plover. Snowy Plovers have a much paler, sand colored plumage and smaller bill Wilson's Plovers.

Breeding Season: 
A solitary nester in Florida .  Sometimes nests within colonies of other species (such as Least Terns).  Snowy Plovers are known to nest as early as mid-February in Florida, but peak nesting occurs in April and May.

Usually 3 eggs (ranges from 2-3)
