Tampa Bay - Turtle

The Tampa Bay area has been of particular focus for the past several years in an attempt to study the occurrence and distribution of turtles in the area. It has been found that at least four of the five species of marine turtles call the waters of the Tampa Bay area home at least some part of the year. Pictured is a loggerhead turtle that was captured in Tampa Bay by FMRI researchers.
