Captured manatees

The capture of a manatee provides an up-close look at faint gray scars. These scars are highlighted with a grease pencil so that they are more visible in photographs. The grease pencil is similar to the washable make-up and will wash off the animal within a few days.

Flounder begin their lives with eyes on either side of their head. As they grow, one eye migrates so that both eyes are on the same side of the head.
