Freshwater Fish Projects
FWC biologists conduct studies on a variety of fish species and
systems. This set of articles focuses on many of the side projects
currently being conducted in Florida's fresh waters.
FWC monitors species that are commercially harvested from inland
waters of the state, including catfish, tilapia, and American
eel.
This section includes information about other fishes that are
generally not categorized as a sport or commercial species.
