The Fish and Wildlife Research Institute (FWRI) has provided over
fifty years of service to Florida's people and resources. FWRI
strives to provide the scientific foundation for management of
Florida's fish and wildlife resources.
The Director of the Fish and Wildlife Institute discusses efforts
to provide natural resource managers, stakeholders, and the public
with timely information and guidance to protect, conserve, and
manage Florida's fish and wildlife resources.
The Fish and Wildlife Research Institute is made up of many facilities throughout Florida. There are three buildings at its main location in St. Petersburg, Florida, and numerous field laboratories around the state.
