Outreach and Education
Using a variety of approaches--including talks, guided tours, and trail
interpretation--wildlife management area staff work to enhance the public's
understanding, appreciation and hopefully, protection, of the land and
wildlife we manage.

At
the FWC Chinsegut Nature Center in Brooksville, workshops,
presentations and festivals are offered to local school and
conservation groups, as well as the general public.

Wildlife
biologists not only manage Florida's special and at risk
populations of black bears, they help residents understand how
to live with bears nearby.
|
|
On
the Apalachicola River WEA, paddling enthusiasts can explore
hundreds of miles of scenic natural waterways winding through
pristine floodplain forests and intertidal marshes.
