When to Visit

Fall and winter are the times to hunt for waterfowl, white-tailed deer, and feral hogs on Rotenberger Wildlife Management Area. Winter is a good time to see swallow-tailed kites, red-shouldered hawks, and many migratory birds. Wading birds are common year-round, although they tend to concentrate along the canals at the end of the dry season in the spring. Hiking, biking, and horseback riding are best on non-hunting days in the fall and winter and in the spring when temperatures are cooler and bugs less abundant.

Hunters must comply with all hunting regulations
