Amenities at the park include a small, unpaved parking area and a
1.5-mile trail, described in a brochure available at the trailhead.
In support of the resource management goals and objectives for the
area and to provide a quality experience for all area users, the
following recreation activities are allowed:

White-tailed deer

Wildlife Viewing - Wildlife viewing opportunities are highest
along the powerline right-of-way and hiking trail system where
white-tailed deer, turkey, southeastern kestrel and gopher tortoise are
often seen.
Hiking - Hikes are most pleasant in the cooler, winter season
or early in the day in warmer months. Visitors may hike along the 1.5
mile trail through the sandhills and hardwood hammock or along the
powerline right-of-way.
Vehicles and bikes are not permitted on trails at Perry Oldenburg.
There is one entrance, with parking, onto the public-use area.
Perry Oldenburg is located seven miles north of Brooksville. From
Brooksville, take U.S. Hwy 41 north 4.5 miles to Deer Run Road. Turn
east on Deer Run Road and go 1.5 miles to park entrance.
