Wildlife

Opportunities for bird watching abound at Little Gator Creek. The wildlife viewing highlight of the area is the wood stork rookery. Other wading birds are also abundant, and bald eagles may be seen. Most of the area is forested and supports breeding populations of summer tanagers,
Carolina chickadees, yellow-throated warblers, and blue gray gnat catchers. Alligators and raccoons are common on Little Gator Creek.
